Gynaecology

Women can go to our gynaecology department for birth control and contraception.
Obstetrics is a part of this, where we guide you during pregnancy and childbirth.
Our gynaecologists are also responsible for the necessary gynaecological check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the uterus, ovaries and breasts. For the latter, we work with a multidisciplinary breast centre.

Our gynaecologists master two fields of expertise: gynaecology and obstetrics. In addition to assisting with pregnancies and deliveries (obstetrics), the gynaecology department focuses on specialized care related to:

  • menstrual disorders (cycle disorders, heavy bleeding or menstrual pain)
  • an abnormal cervical smear
  • colposcopy (cervical cancer detection)
  • chronic pain in the lower abdomen
  • infections of the genital organs
  • sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • disorders indicating prolapse of the uterus or vulva
  • uro-gynecology (including involuntary loss of urine)
  • menopause
  • contraception
  • sexual problems
  • oncology
