Obstetrics is a part of this, where we guide you during pregnancy and childbirth.
Our gynaecologists are also responsible for the necessary gynaecological check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the uterus, ovaries and breasts. For the latter, we work with a multidisciplinary breast centre.

Our gynaecologists master two fields of expertise: gynaecology and obstetrics. In addition to assisting with pregnancies and deliveries (obstetrics), the gynaecology department focuses on specialized care related to:
- menstrual disorders (cycle disorders, heavy bleeding or menstrual pain)
- an abnormal cervical smear
- colposcopy (cervical cancer detection)
- chronic pain in the lower abdomen
- infections of the genital organs
- sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- disorders indicating prolapse of the uterus or vulva
- uro-gynecology (including involuntary loss of urine)
- menopause
- contraception
- sexual problems
- oncology
